Chip producer Epistar reported that its plans for Mini LED backlight products production and shipment will be process as scheduled, despite the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. Epistar has expanded its capacity in Taiwan for Mini LED and the new capacity will be ready by June 2020 to supply Mini LED backlight products for high-end TVs and mobile devices.

EVERLIGHT’s Mini LED revenue is also increasing. The Taiwan-based LED package company sees that the coming Mini LED applications might be able to consume more LED chip inventory and push demands in the market. The LED inventory reached its peak in 1Q19 and remain at a high level since then. The suspended production in China caused by the coronavirus outbreak may also lead to inventory decrease for the first quarter of 2020.

The rising Mini LED display applications also drive business performance for Macroblock, who experts in LED driver IC. The company has been ready with its Mini LED display driver ICs and will begin mass production following its clients. Since the coronavirus has led to manufacture delay for driver IC companies in China, many shifted their orders to Macroblock.
