Deal | Top-notch Acer Predator Helios 18 with RTX 4090, Core i9 and 250Hz Mini-LED display hits lowest price yet

The almost maxed-out configuration of the Acer Predator Helios 18 gaming laptop is currently on sale for just $2,649. This price applies to the impressive RTX 4090 configuration with the very bright Mini-LED screen with 1,000 nits as well as the Intel Core i9-14900HX.

While Asus and some other gaming laptop manufacturers are counting on the popular OLED technology, other brands have opted to equip their high-end machines with extremely bright Mini-LED screens which offer an even better HDR experience in some cases. The currently discounted RTX 4090-powered Acer Predator Helios 18 is one of those notebooks.

Since this 18-inch gaming laptop also carries an extremely high official price tag of $3,000, demanding QHD gamers will be happy to hear that the Acer Predator Helios 18 has now returned received a considerable price cut at Best Buy. More precisely, the electronics retailer grants a $350 discount on the almost maxed-out configuration with the Intel Core i9-14900HX, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card and 32GB DDR5 RAM as well as a large 1TB SSD. This results in an intriguing sale price of $2,649, which matches the laptop's all-time low.

We reviewed a very similar RTX 4090 model of the Acer Predator Helios 18, and unsurprisingly, the 18-inch offers a lot of gaming performance for gamers who would like to play at QHD and high refresh rates. The very bright Mini-LED screen can hit a peak brightness of 750 nits according to our measurements and is certainly one of the most convincing aspects of this Core i9 notebook. Although we criticized the not quite ideal fans, relatively poor battery life and thermal SSD throttling, the Acer Predator Helios 18 is a solid choice for gamers who are looking to spend less than $3,000 on a powerful gaming laptop.
