American OEM Titan LED Accelerates Adoption of New Philips Lumileds Chips

Titan LED, a leading US-based manufacturer and OEM that serves small, medium and enterprise-level customers across the nation, announced today that it has accelerated its pace to adopt the next generation chip from Philips Lumileds: Luxeon TX. The chip is now expected to be featured in select products within the company’s US-made profile by early 2014, which is several months ahead of schedule.

Titan LED began using Philips components in 2009 by featuring the Philips Lumileds Rebel series chips in the company’s Highbays, Lowbays, Shoeboxes and Troffers. Impressed by the performance, reliability and results, Titan LED continued implementing Lumileds chip advancements in its products as they were released from 2010-2012. In 2013, the company introduced the Luxeon T chip, and is now poised to augment that progression and momentum with the exciting, next generation Luxeon TX.

The Luxeon TX will allow Titan LED to be a market leader across all segments. The new chip promises an efficacy over 130 lumens per watt, extreme flux performance, and will bin at 2 to 3 levels higher than the Luxeon T. The Luxeon TX will also provide a higher CRI at higher kelvin temperatures.

“Ultimately, the evolution to the Luxeon TX means that our US-made LED lighting solutions will use less wattage, and yet deliver more lumens,” commented Brian Hennessy, Titan LED’s President, CEO and founder. “It’s just another example of how we’re always innovating, and raising the bar so that our customers get even more, for less.”

Titan LED is located at 4590 Ish Drive #100, Simi Valley, California. For more information or media inquiries, contact John Ruscigno at (805) 523-7500 or John(at)titanled(dot)net.
