BARCO Releases 3MP Diagnostic Displays with LED Backlights

BARCO, a global technology company designing and developing visualization products for a variety of selected professional markets, launched two new diagnostic display systems, which are the premium grayscale Coronis 3MP LED and the high-bright Nio Color 3MP LED. These diagnostic displays feature 3MP resolution and apply high-bright LED backlights, and can improve radiologist productivity and performance by making subtle details more noticeable and more quickly.

Barco's Coronis 3MP LED is the industry-leading display system for grayscale radiology imaging. It offers a DICOM calibrated luminance of 600cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1400:1. All Coronis displays come with Barco's I-Guard front-of-screen precision photometer and MediCal QAWeb for intervention-free QA, fleet management and reporting.

Nio Color 3MP LED is a high-bright color display system featuring a DICOM calibrated luminance of 400cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1400:1. The new Nio display comes with a unique front sensor and Medical QAWeb for on-demand calibration. Both display systems come with a standard 5 year warranty.

"At a time when healthcare providers are being challenged to deliver care more efficiently, we are dedicated to helping them improve workflow efficiency," comments Lynda Domogalla, VP Product Marketing for Barco's Healthcare division. "Our new diagnostic display systems with LED backlight technology are designed specifically for healthcare applications and offer many clinical, operational and financial benefits."
