China’s First Curved TV Launched by Changhong

Changhong displayed China's first curved LED TV at their digital home booth themed "where imagination takes flight" at the High-Tech & Science Expo that took place in Sichuan, China on October 15, 2013.

Last month at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA), Korean companies Samsung and LG launched their OLED curved TVs and Sony launched its LED curved TV. With technology demands for producing the curved TV high, Changhong is the only Chinese company pursuing curved TVs. The curved TV is 55 inches with a 0.5 to 0.7mm thick crystal display. The brightness and darkness contrast, grey scale, enhancement of motion image quality, 360 degree color rendering capacity allows the TV to bring IMAX similar effects to the living room.
