Philips Lightolier Launches Energy Star Certified White LED Downlight

In continuing the pursuit of sustainability, Philips Lightolier’s Calculite White LED luminaires are the latest in LED lighting innovation. Representing an evolution from remote phosphor technology to white LEDs, Calculite’s new line up of luminaires provide a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of up to 82, increasing the visual comfort and appeal of the illuminated space through accurate color rendition.

What are the advantages of being Energy Star certified?

These new Energy Star certified luminaires deliver up to 42% higher efficacies, at over 76lm/W and consume nearly 30% less energy when compared with previous offerings of this product family.

Being part of the Energy Star rated family means that the Calculite White LED luminaires qualify for utility rebates, not only reducing project costs but increasing end-user energy savings. In other words, in order to achieve an output of 1000 lumens, a 14W Caluculite White LED luminaire can replace a 75W traditional incandescent (yielding an 18% savings in energy) or a 26W CFL (yielding a 47% savings in energy)!

The Calculite White LED luminaires offer variety of flexible options on the market, allowing for customization in any application – from retail, hospitality to offices and residential spaces. Luminaires range in size from 4” to 8” square and round fixtures, with 5 lumen packages (500lm, 1000lm, 1500lm, 2000lm and 3500lm), 4 color temperatures (4000K, 3500K, 3000K, and 2700K) multiple distributions (3 wall wash and 2 downlight) and 2 dimming options (0-10V or Lutron dimming).

The newest additions to the Calculite family of luminaires provide beautiful subtlety with robust performance, for new construction, remodeling, and retrofit projects.
