Nuventix Unveils Synjet Spot Light Cooler

New LED Cooler for Spot Lights Packs Powerful Punch in Small Package

From Light+Building, Nuventix, Inc., innovator of SynJet® active thermal management solutions, today announced the general availability in EMEA of the SynJet Spot Light Cooler. Nuventix’ SynJets are the smallest, most reliable, and adaptable thermal management solutions in the solid state lighting industry, and LED spot lights are one of the most demanding applications.

The new SynJet Spot Light Cooler is the perfect size for track and directional downlight applications as small as 75mm in diameter, specifically window displays in retail, and commercial and general lighting schemes. The innovative design enables 2000 lumens in small profile, offers silent operation, over 100K hours of lifetime cooling and the highest possible energy efficiency for a thermal cooling solution. The SynJet Spot Light Cooler provides the highest lumen output in the smallest form factor on the market at the lowest cost per lumen. The new LED cooler will be on display at Light+Building 2010 from April 11-16 in Frankfurt, Germany.

“At Nuventix, we continue to innovate for the LED market in order to enable energy efficient solutions that fulfill the high brightness requirements of the lighting market,” said Thomas Dalton, vice president of sales and marketing, Nuventix. “With SynJet cooled spot lights, designers can create state-of-the-art LED lights at lower cost, extending life while reducing power.”

The SynJet Spot Light Cooler is lightweight and small size, one-third the size of a passive cooling solution. This popular form factor addresses a much larger segment of the market, ideal for track, directional and downlight installations. The new luminaire thermal solution design offers flexibility for diverse applications while cooling 10-30 watts. The SynJet Cooler suits a multitude of light engines and is seeing adoption from leading companies such as Bridgelux, Citizen, Osram, Philips, Vossloh-Schwabe and Xicato.

Nuventix’ superior thermal management products are used for highly reliable cooling in a variety of electronic applications such as LEDs, consumer electronics and telecom solutions. These products are needed because when today’s faster, more powerful, and more complex electronic products are placed in innovative enclosures, they push the limits of today's cooling technology. The air-cooled, quiet, and fanless SynJet products from Nuventix quickly dissipate heat in these applications.
