David Cohen, who spent nearly five years leading LED lighting company Fluence, announced today his new role with Dove Automation, a Webster, New York-based company that provides cannabis growers with automation and technology solutions for packaging and distribution.
As CEO, Cohen will spearhead Dove’s efforts to help growers implement a packaging service model that, using robotics paired with cannabis industry expertise, aims to help companies reduce operating costs, increase speed to market and improve accuracy.
During his tenure at Fluence, headquartered in Austin, Texas, Cohen spearheaded major acquisitions by AMS Osram and Signify, and has more than two decades of expertise in branding, scaling and globalizing companies across the cannabis and technology industries.
“I’m very excited to announce my new role as CEO of Dove Automation, a company building next-generation robotics service models for today’s growers so they can focus on what matters most: their grow,” Cohen said in a LinkedIn post announcing his career news.
In an email statement, he said, "I’m looking forward to leaning on my expertise helping market leaders sustainably scale and globalize their operations to make Dove’s solutions accessible to cultivators throughout the world. Together, we will connect growers with the tools they need to navigate an uncertain market and build toward profitability.”
