DRAM supplier Apacer is going showcase its lighting inspection solutions targeting horticulture and agricultural lighting at Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) from October 27th to 30th, 2018.
The market for horticulture lighting is expanding with more and more LED lighting companies joining to develop innovative lighting products for increasing crop yields and reducing energy costs. LEDinside has estimated that the market scale of LED plant lighting will grow to US$ 633 million by 2022, with a CAGR of 30% during 2018-2022.

Apacer has spotted the opportunities and demands that come with LED horticulture lighting and developed luxometers and light sensors which are suitable for horticulture and agricultural applications.
The company has cooperated with Chinese company Sanan Sino-Science to develop inspection methods for effective lighting prescriptions targeting horticulture lighting. According to the company, how to maintain the effective lighting prescription when growing plants is critical for improving the yields and quality of crops. Therefore, professional inspection tools are necessary to ensure the lighting quality of LEDs. Apacer’s luxometers can inspect wavelength from 330-850nm and be tailored to test different light sources for specific plants.
