Nichia's White LEDs Patent Infringement Lawsuit is Acknowledged

Reportedly, The Republic Group Handelsvertretung GmbH and Mouser Electronics, Inc. (“Mouser”) have acknowledged Nichia's claims in a patent infringement lawsuit in Germany at the District Court Düsseldorf against German distributors for certain products of Harvatek, and stopped selling the infringing products.

As previously announced, in the lawsuits on November 10, 2010, Nichia claims that two different Harvatek white LED products (serial numbers HT-V116TW and HT-U158TW) sold by those distributors infringe Nichia YAG patent (EP936682[DE69702929]) and seeks an injunction, damages, recall and destruction. And this acknowledgement led to a judgment by acknowledgement of the District Court Düsseldorf dated February 21, 2011.
