New iWatch Concept Design Leaked by Swiss Design Website

Swiss industrial design website Designerei GmbH has recently released a new concept design for the upcoming Apple iWatch. Although this is not the official Apple design, it can still be used to analyze possible developmental directions for the new technology used in the smart watch.

By looking at the above pictures, the iWatch uses a curved design with an interface similar to iOS and a home button. The metal clasp also seems to support a built-in sensor. There are additional sensors located below the screen, the majority of which require direct contact with the skin of the user in order to work, such as the heart rate monitor.

iWatch has been rumored to incorporate sapphire substrate and flexible LEDs in its display. It is also thought to place emphasis on incorporating the medical field with personal smart gadgets. It has been revealed that Apple has hired an audio engineer named Tomlinson Holman to develop software that is able to monitor blood flow within the body to detect the early signs of a heart attack.

Even though Apple will officially launch their iWatch this year, few specs have been leaked as news has been kept tight. The public’s only option is to then turn to renditions by those in the industry.
