Today both CarUX and Pioneer are pleased to announce the completion of acquisition, through which Pioneer has officially become part of CarUX Holding Limited (“CarUX”), a Tier 1 supplier specializing in smart cockpit integration solutions and a subsidiary of Innolux Corporation (stock code: 3481.TW). This milestone marks a new chapter in CarUX’s global smart cockpit strategy.
With the completion of this acquisition, CarUX will combine Pioneer’s deep technological expertise in in-vehicle audio systems, multimedia solutions, and human-machine interface (HMI) software development with its own strengths in smart cockpit integration solutions. This will further enhance CarUX Group’s core competences, product competitiveness, and influence within the global supply chain.
By integrating the R&D capabilities and manufacturing bases of both companies, CarUX Group will provide customers with more agile and localized support to meet the evolving and diverse needs of global automakers and consumers, driving continuous innovation and growth in the smart mobility industry.
CarUX Group stated that after the completion of the acquisition, synergies will be realized in three major areas:
-
Customer Diversification:
Building on Pioneer’s strong customer base from Japan to worldwide, CarUX Group will rapidly expand its automotive market presence other than Europe and US, especially by entering the Japanese automaker supply chain and pursuing collaborative sales opportunities that were previously difficult to access.
-
Product Portfolio Expansion:
By combining Pioneer’s expertise in audio, multimedia systems, and HMI software with CarUX’s advanced smart cockpit display and integration solutions technologies, the Group will broaden its product portfolio, offering comprehensive solutions that seamlessly integrate display, sound, and human-machine interaction.
-
Globalized Manufacturing Footprint:
Pioneer has an extensive R&D and manufacturing network across Asia, including Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as the Americas and Europe. By combining these resources with CarUX’s existing presence in Asia and Europe, CarUX Group will further strengthen its multi-regional supply capabilities, improve global production resilience, and provide more responsive and localized support to customers around the world.
CarUX Group will advance its integration journey through joint initiatives in customer engagement, product development, technology sharing, and manufacturing. By deepening R&D cooperation and strengthening production synergies, the Group will steadily advance toward its vision of becoming a pioneer of smart cockpit solutions.
