In a bold fusion of historic design and modern technology, the foyer of London’s new 40 Leadenhall skyscraper has been transformed into a digital masterpiece by the innovative UK-based company, Dynamo LED Displays.
Dynamo LED Displays is renowned for its high-quality, purpose-built LED solutions including LED walls screens, and LED tickers. With 15 years of experience and a commitment to excellence, the company has consistently delivered projects that marry artistic vision with cutting-edge engineering. This project is no exception. Selected after a rigorous global search among top manufacturers, Dynamo was chosen to bring the digital vision of 40 Leadenhall to life.
The installation comprises four LED arches, each measuring an impressive 7.4 meters in height and 1.5 meters in width, yet only 50mm deep. These arches have been meticulously engineered using Dynamo’s tailored curved cabinets and circuit boards, ensuring that each module conforms perfectly to the intended curvature. The result is a breathtaking illusion of digital Georgian windows, seamlessly integrated into the building’s interior.
At the heart of these displays is Dynamo’s acclaimed 1.9mm DRA Series LED technology. Offering a resolution of 768 × 3840 pixels per arch, the system delivers crystal-clear imagery with exceptional depth and vibrancy. A specially designed resin coating further refines the output, optimizing color balance, contrast, and grayscale accuracy.
The display is driven by a Novastar H2 video processor and a Pixera media server, all operating on a DVS 4U SWARM4-2C4K10G-A4000 Pro+ Interactive PC platform. Dynamo collaborated closely with Novastar to develop an integrated solution that delivers video content seamlessly to the LED modules. This approach guarantees a flicker-free experience, smooth transitions, and ultra-high-definition playback, further enhancing the visual impact of the installation.
By integrating advanced LED technology with precision engineering, Dynamo has not only redefined the digital aesthetic at 40 Leadenhall but has also reaffirmed its status as the UK’s premier provider of LED display solutions—making a significant impact on the future of architectural design in London and beyond.
