Light Engine Starts to Mass Produce LED in Philippines

US firm Light Engine has scheduled to mass-produce LED products in the Philippines through local electronics manufacturer Cirtek Holdings Philippines Inc.

Light Engine has corporate office in USA while its research and development as well as design center is based in Russia.

As for Cirtek, it mainly provides turnkey solutions that include package design and development, wafer probing, wafer back grinding, assembly and packaging, final testing of semiconductor devices, and delivery and shipment to its customers.

In addition to cooperate with Light Engine, Cirtek, meanwhile, is looking at more business opportunities with one of its long-term partners, CamSemi, a semiconductor company that designs, develops and supplies energy-efficient power management for electronics brand and cell-phone charges.

Cirtek started business with CamSemi in 2008, producing products intended for the smartphone applications such as battery charges.

Last July 6, CamSemi awarded Cirtek a plaque of appreciation for helping CamSemi in introducing its new products this year. Camsemi vice president Kim Tey, represented by Cedrin Lee, said the award was given due to “Cirtek’s willingness to go above and beyond, we salute Cirtek Electronics for helping us on our critical new products.”
