Sony has decided to shift more contract orders to AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) and its production arms from Hon Hai, likely due to Hon Hai build ties-up with its major competitor Sharp in the market for LCD TVs. Taiwan’s President Ma Ying-jeou has announced that the island will step up efforts to assist Tuvalu to become a low-carbon country. At Monday's city council meeting, council members authorized the mayor to sign a contract with local contractor, Paulson Electric Inc to complete LED lighting upgrade project in Missoula's City Hall. The project is being paid for by a grant from the Department of Energy given to the city as part of the Clean Air Act.
