Recently, Sharp has developed the second generation of its 10W Mini Zeni white-light LED arrays, featuring 47% higher luminous efficacy of up to 106lm/W in standard operation, greater luminous flux of up to 900lm, and a (typical) color rendering index (CRI) of 82. As the incandescent will gradually fade out from lighting stage, Home Depot is ready to help people to adapt this change. All Home Depot stores are hosting how-to workshops the next two Saturdays at 10 a.m. to teach people about fluorescent and LED lighting. Managers say their employees have been trained to answer whatever questions come up. Endo company Icon International is introducing Japanese new track LED lights to the U.S. grocery sector. According to the company, the series of RS track LED lights is the first of Endo’s 2600 products that ICON will be bringing to the U.S. market. SemiLEDs Reports 2012 Fiscal First-quarter Revenue

Recently, LED chip and component maker SemiLEDs has reported its fiscal first-quarter 2012 (to end-November 2011) revenue. The company has reported revenue of $6.75m, down 48% on $13m a year ago but rebounding 27% from $5.3m last quarter (which has been down 5% on the prior quarter).
