Taiwan LED packaging manufacturer VisEra Technologies is reported to put its manufacturing emphasis on high-power packages dedicated to light bulbs in 2011. It’s said that city of Novato is in the process of conducting a streetlight test to get public feedback in its selection of energy-efficient fixtures.
Four LED fixtures have been installed between Rowland Boulevard and Adele Drive, and four induction fixtures were installed between Arthur Drive and Yukon Way.
All lights being considered would reduce monthly energy costs by about 40 percent and reduce routine maintenance costs three to four times that of the current fixtures.
