Jufei Opto recently announced it had signed a strategic white LED patent license agreement with Toyoda Gosei’s Shanghai arm.
As the LED industry rapidly develops, many LED manufacturers are expanding in the international market. Manufacturers need to strengthen their intellectual property rights capacity to resolve related issues.
Jufei Opto has a patent portfolio consisting of nearly 100 patents, and is developing core patents to meet client demands and expand in oversea markets.
Japanese manufacturer Toyoda Gosei is a leading global LED manufacturer that holds key white LED patents, and is a member of the BOSE Consortium. Under the recent agreement, Jufei Opto will officially become a BOSE Consortium certified white LED manufacturer. The strategic agreement signed between Toyoda Gosei and Jufei Opto offers patent protection that covers LED chip and white light applications. The main aim of the agreement is to support company and clients international developments, and global patent demands to improve client’s product competitiveness.
Since implementing its international strategy in 2014, Jufei Opto has started cooperating with internationally well-known manufacturers, but the scale of cooperation was limited by global patent rights. By cooperating with Toyoda Gosei, Jufei Opto has strengthened patent protection, and expanded future developments.
