IXYS Integrated Circuits Division Launches New High Voltage Dimmable LED Driver IC

IXYS Integrated Circuits Division (ICD), a wholly owned subsidiary of IXYS Corporation, announced the immediate availability of the IX9907N High Voltage Dimmable LED Driver IC. Combining a 650V, 2 Ohm power MOSFET with a quasi-resonant controller, the IX9907N is optimized for off-line dimmable LED applications requiring a high power factor correction.

The IX9907N has a wide voltage operating range and low power consumption. Featuring a digital soft-start and foldback correction, and cycle-by-cycle peak current control, the IX9907N can drive LEDs with greater than 90% efficiency with a power factor correction of over 98%. Protection features include output over-current and over-voltage protection, over-temperature shutdown, and supply under-voltage lockout. Applications include incandescent bulb replacement, solid state lighting, and industrial and commercial lighting.

Available in a low cost standard 8-pin SOIC package, the IX9907N is the latest addition to IXYS ICD’s portfolio of high voltage LED drivers.
