CarUX, a subsidiary of Innolux allies with Corning to usher in new HMI driving experience

< Sep 26, 2022 Miaoli > CarUX, a subsidiary of Innolux specializing in automotive displays, announced today (Sep, 26) that it will expand its cooperation with Corning, a global leader in materials science, in the automotive field. CarUX will introduce Corning’s cold bending forming technology "Corning® ColdForm ™" into its large curved vehicle display. Through the high-quality curved vehicle display, the interior display design of the smart cabin is comprehensively improved, creating a visually shocking aesthetic experience for drivers and passengers.

CarUX said, "We are committed to creating an amazing driving experience. CarUX and Corning are increasing the benefits of cooperation, extending from automotive glass substrates to glass substrate protection solutions, Expending our relationship and building supply chain ecosystems together will generate more industrial synergies."

In response to the vigorous development of AI, 5G, Internet of things and autonomous driving technology, the automobile display technology with the characteristics of "C.A.S.E." (connectivity, autonomous driving, shared, and electric) has made the autonomous driving technology more mature, and has given birth to a new application scenario of combining the car cabin with meetings, work, leisure, entertainment, shopping and so on, which drives vehicle display to larger shape also strengthens the importance of vehicle display. In view of this, CarUX introduces Corning Cold Form technology, so that the glass cover can be seamlessly fitted on the vehicle display, providing more innovative and diversified vehicle display solutions, and creating a smart cockpit display design that combines art and technology. On the other hand, the curved glass cover that protects the vehicle display is also an important key to help create a safe driving environment.
