Ennostar Inc., through its vertically integrated optoelectronics subsidiary Ennostar Corporation, will showcase its latest innovations at Touch Taiwan 2026, highlighting two high-growth, high-value domains: datacom and sensing automation. Alongside its established strengths in Micro & Mini LED and automotive optoelectronics, the company will present a comprehensive portfolio spanning four strategic application domains.
Amid accelerating trends in smart mobility, intelligent manufacturing, and high-performance computing, the optoelectronics industry is rapidly shifting from component-driven competition toward system-level integration and higher-value solutions. Leveraging its core expertise in compound semiconductors and end-to-end integration—from epitaxy and chip design to packaging and modules—Ennostar is collaborating with ecosystem partners to expand real-world applications, drive industry advancement, and unlock new long-term growth opportunities.
Datacom: Enabling AI Data Center Interconnects from Short to Far Reach
The rapid growth of generative AI and HPC is driving increasing demand for high-speed, low-power data transmission in data centers. Building on its compound semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, Ennostar is advancing three key optical source technologies: Micro LED, VCSEL, and CW-DFB lasers.
At Touch Taiwan 2026, Ennostar will showcase its advanced emitter and receiver light source component technologies, highlighting not only its proprietary innovations but also those developed through its group companies and ecosystem partners to cover a comprehensive range of transmission distances. For short-reach applications, Micro LED targets emerging architectures such as CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) and AOC (Active Optical Cable), with exhibits including 6-inch Micro LED epitaxial wafers and chips, as well as integrated Tx/Rx CPO optical modules. In short-to-medium reach scenarios, VCSEL technology leverages Ennostar’s strong foundation in sensing, with demonstrations featuring 100G QSFP28 SR4 and 400G optical transceivers designed for mainstream data center interconnects. For far-reach transmission, the company is also presenting InP-based CW-DFB laser solutions for 800G optical modules, addressing the need for high-speed, far-reach connectivity.
Sensing & Automation: From Single-Point Detection to Multi-Dimensional Perception
As AI and robotics continue to advance, sensing technologies are evolving from simple signal capture to multi-dimensional, high-precision perception systems. Optoelectronic components play a central role in this transformation.
Ennostar offers a comprehensive sensing portfolio, including LEDs, VCSELs, Photonic Crystal Surface Emitting Lasers (PCSELs ), and Photodiodes (PDs). Its PCSEL technology, operating at 1310 nm, provides low divergence and high output power—making it well-suited for industrial sensing and automotive LiDAR applications.
In the Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) domain, Ennostar extends detection into the 1300–2400 nm range using InGaAs photodiodes, enabling applications such as biomedical diagnostics, material identification, and industrial inspection. Combined with proprietary SWIR light sources and modules, this enables detection of moisture and foreign objects beyond the limits of visible light.
For industrial automation, Ennostar integrates SWIR light sources, VCSELs, and sensing modules into applications such as AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), 3D sensing, and smart manufacturing systems. With high-uniformity illumination, fast modulation, and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), these solutions improve defect detection accuracy and efficiency, while maintaining stability in low-light, complex materials, and high-speed production conditions.
Automotive Optoelectronics: From Illumination to Intelligent Communication Interfaces
With the rise of electric vehicles and autonomous driving, automotive lighting is evolving from a functional element into a key interface for perception and communication.
Ennostar will showcase a range of automotive solutions, including Mini LED smart display modules supporting Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X ) communication. These modules offer brightness levels of up to 30,000 nits and comply with AEC-Q102 automotive reliability standards, ensuring clear visibility even under harsh environmental conditions.
Ennostar’s Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) technology enables dynamic glare-free illumination through high-density light sources and precise optical control, significantly enhancing nighttime driving safety. Micro LED technologies are also being extended into both interior and exterior vehicle applications, such as transparent window displays and Dynamic Ground Projection (DGP) systems for navigation, warning signals, and interactive communication. In addition, RGB Smart LED ambient lighting, integrated with IC control and temperature compensation, ensures precise and stable color performance across varying environmental conditions.
Through deep integration of light sources, packaging, and modules, Ennostar is reinforcing its role in next-generation smart cockpit and vehicle communication systems.
Micro & Mini LED: Advancing Toward High Resolution and System Integration
As demand for AR/MR, immersive displays, and premium commercial applications continues to rise, display technologies are evolving toward higher brightness, higher resolution, greater efficiency, and heterogeneous integration.
At this year’s exhibition, Ennostar will present several key Micro LED innovations. These include an 8-inch Micro LED on silicon co-developed with global partners, featuring low wafer bowing , crack-free epitaxy, and compatibility with CMOS processes—providing a critical foundation for ultra-high-resolution AR/MR displays.
The company will also showcase its InGaN-based red Micro LED technology, which overcomes the limitations of conventional AlInGaP materials. Even at fine pixel sizes, it maintains low color shift and stable luminance performance, while mitigating image sticking—demonstrating Ennostar’s leadership in full-color Micro LED technologies.
In Mini LED, Ennostar delivers high-purity, narrow-spectrum green chips combined with advanced packaging, enabling 100% Adobe RGB, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage and high-brightness backlighting. By aligning performance specifications with market demand, the company continues to strengthen its competitive edge in next-generation displays.
As industries undergo transformation and technological upgrades, Ennostar continues to strengthen its compound semiconductor technology foundation while expanding into high-value applications through cross-domain integration.
Its presence at Touch Taiwan 2026 demonstrates not only its evolution from a component supplier to a provider of integrated optoelectronic solutions, but also its commitment to raising technological barriers and enhancing industry value in the AI era—laying a solid foundation for long-term growth and strategic investment.
