The Mall of America is giving its two parking ramps a lighting makeover this year that will cost about $3 million, saving the mall about $500,000 a year. The Foley City Council is thinking about making a trial program for a system to use LEDs to replace florescent and incandescent lights. The council is scheduled to vote this program on May 4.
