Philips Sets up Intellectual Property Office in Chengdu

Recently, Philips's Intellectual Property and Standards office in Chengdu was established, it is not only the third office Philips opened in the country after Shanghai and Hong Kong, also it is the first time for the Fortune 500 companies to set up Intellectual Property Office in Sichuan.

Chengdu office will be organic part of Philips's 17 offices in 10 countries; it will provide intellectual property solutions for the layout of Philips's lighting, healthcare, consumer lifestyle and other business in Sichuan.

Ruud Peters, Executive Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Officer of Netherlands Royal Philips, said that Philips is building an LED factory in Chengdu, it is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year, then the largest lighting exhibition center around Asia will be put into use at the same time.
