Philips Sets up Intellectual Property Office in Chengdu

Recently, Philips's Intellectual Property and Standards office in Chengdu was established, it is not only the third office Philips opened in the country after Shanghai and Hong Kong, also it is the first time for the Fortune 500 companies to set up Intellectual Property Office in Sichuan. Foxconn reportedly planned to built an 8.5G plant in Chengdu

It is reported that Foxconn Electronics will invest US$10 billion in Chengdu to pave way for Chimei Innolux (CMI), which planed to build a factory with producing TFT-LCD panel. While CMI said their indeed planed to invest in china, but the investment was still under evaluation.
