Acuity Brands, a North American market leader and one of the world's leading providers of lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor applications, has extended the Acculamp specification grade series to involve a dimmable 25W 2000 lumen PAR38 LED lamp, which emits the highest light output of PAR38 LED lamps on the market to date. The PAR38 LED lamp is capable of replacing 150-watt halogen lamps; what's more, it can provide 83% energy savings when compared with traditional light sources.
The Acculamp 2000 lumen PAR38 LED lamp is aesthetically compliance with traditional halogen lamps and is designed to minimize glare. The lamp comes with a high efficacy and has an expected service life of 50,000 hours. Its advanced thermal design with ceramic substrates offers optimal cooling efficiency and consistent color quality over time.
The Acculamp PAR38 LED lamp is now available in 900, 1200 and 2000 lumen packages. Acuity Brands provides all of the lamps in a choice of 2700K or 4000K CCTs, and 25°or 45°beam patterns. For now the 2000-lm lamps come in a CRI of 80, although Acuity has developed higher CRI versions of the prior lamps, so the same progression could happen in the 2000-lm grouping.
Seth Owen, Lighting Vice President of Acuity Brands, said that Acuity listened to the marketplace and identified a significant demand for high lumen output LED lamps that would meet the requirements of demanding applications, and Acuity developed the 2000 lumen PAR38 through the combination of a high lumen package, crisp beam angles and low glare.
Acculamp also announced 8W 400-lm MR16 lamps to its specification grade series. The MR16 LED lamps are offered in a choice of 25° or 36° beam patterns, and 2700K or 4000K CCTs, which are ideal for track, recessed and accent lighting use in both residential and commercial applications.
