FOREPI: Overseas Backlight Demands to Drive up March Revenue

Taiwanese LED manufacturer FOREPI could be seeing record high performance for a single quarter during third quarter this year, said the company Chairman Chein Fen-ren, while attending the Leadray Energy Taipei Office opening ceremony on March 17, 2014. Substantial growth in March will be propelled by increased demands from Korean backlight manufacturers, rising lighting demands from Europe and the U.S, and subsidiaries completed product portfolio restructures.

Backlight demands from Korean manufacturers include flip-chips, and older 2013 direct-type LED models, said Chein. Demand for older direct-type models has increased, boosting sales performance and order strength.

FOREPI has also recently switched from providing flip-chips to epiwafers to Korean backlight manufacturers, due to epiwafers better gross profit performance and inventory management, Chien pointed out.
