Leyard and Kangde Xin to Develop Naked Eye 3D LED Displays

China based manufacturers Leyard and Kangde Xin Composite Material (Kangde Xin) are combining their manufacturing strengths to expand the display market by signing a cooperative agreement on June 25, 2014.

The two companies have taken Leyard’s strength in small pitch LED displays in combination with Kangde Xin’s expertise in optical film R&D to jointly develop naked eye 3D technology. Prototypes are already in production. In addition, the companies are  developing LED touch panels and LED display products using Kangde Xin’s transparent conductive film and smart film technology.

According to the agreement, after the above products are developed and mass produced, Kangde Xin will provide Leyard with related auxiliary products.

This partnership will help to expand the application of naked eye 3D film, transparent conductive film, smart film, and diffusion film products into the LED display market. The agreement will increase the company’s optical film production capacity by 200 million square meters, increasing the company’s profitability.
