Honglitronic Moves to Expand EMC and COB Application

EMC and COB packaging technology is becoming more common in the LED packaging field, with application volume gradually expanding.

In a recent investors relations activities record, China based Honglitronic reported stable net profit for LED packaging products this year with no major fluctuations. The company noted that LED product prices will be affected by advances in LED technology and industry scale expansion in the future.

Earlier this month, Honglitronic purchased 100 percent stake in EMC manufacturer Smalite Optoelectronics in order to establish an EMC supply chain. The acquisition will lower cost and guarantee competitive edge in EMC packaging. In addition, Smalite Optoelectronics reported a significant increase in revenue for EMC packaging components in 2014 compared to the year before.
