GE Lighting Institute Announces 2015 Course Schedule

With important topics covering all manners of lighting challenges and opportunities, the GE Lighting Institute announces its 2015 course schedule.

Located at historic Nela Park in East Cleveland, the Lighting Institute will host more than 25 lighting classes beginning in February through the end of 2015. Covering lighting and electrical fundamentals, application tips and LED technology, the Lighting Institute’s course schedule holds valuable information for all levels of lighting knowledge.

Specific courses include:

  • Fundamentals of Lighting: Feb. 3-5, April 28-30, July 28-30 and Dec. 8-10

  • Lighting Retrofits: Feb. 17-19, May 12-14, July 21-23 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1 

  • Lighting Essentials for Distributors: March 10-12 and Sept. 15-17

  • Lighting for Commercial Properties: March 17-18 

  • Advanced Selling Tools for LED Solutions: March 25-27, June 2-4,
    Aug. 25-27 and Nov. 17-19

  • LED Outdoor Lighting: April 7-8 and Oct. 27-28

  • Intermediate Lighting: May 27-28 and Oct. 14-15

  • Lighting for Colleges and Universities: June 16-17

  • Lighting for Healthcare Facilities: June 25-26

  • Retail Lighting Forum: July 14-15

  • Hospitality Lighting: Aug. 11-12

  • Lighting for Manufacturing Facilities: Aug. 18-19

  • LC Exam Prep Course: Sept. 22-24

Participants can earn 1.0-1.5 CEUs upon completion of a given course. Portions of the Intermediate-level courses are eligible for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) LU/HSW credits. 

Courses are applicable across all lighting professions: designers and architects, specifiers and engineers, distributors and agents, as well as facility managers, general contractors and more. New for 2015 is an extended Lighting Retrofit course, now 2.5 days, to accommodate additional hands-on demonstrations for attendees.
