EGAT continues to move forward in its campaign to promote energy saving through a new initiative in which the public is asked to bring in their old bulbs or tubes and have them exchanged for one of the new EGAT label 5 watt LED bulbs. EGAT will give away a total of 2,000 bulbs, one per household, with a total value of 230,000 baht at LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016, which will be held on 19-22 April 2016 at Hall 4-8, IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Soonchai Kumnoonsate, Governor of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, said that the government has assigned EGAT with campaigning for energy saving to response the 20-year Energy Saving Plan. Therefore, EGAT has joined forces with the organizers of LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 to launch the “Old Exchange New” campaign to get consumers to use more of LED bulbs. This campaign aims to encourage the public to switch using high-performance lighting technology by giving out 2,000 of “label no. 5” LED bulbs (500 bulbs per day) for free throughout the 4 days of LED Expo & Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016. Those interested should “like” LED Expo Thailand Facebook page and bring an old bulb or tube to exchange it for the new, as well as show their electricity bill for March 2016. Exchanges are limited to 1 bulb per household only.
LED Expo and Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 combines 3 big events into one: LED Expo Thailand 2016, Thailand Energy Saving Week 2016 and PCB Expo Thailand 2016. These events will be held between 19-22 April 2016 at Hall 4-8, IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand, with an exhibition space of 32,000 m2, making it the biggest exhibition on energy saving technology in ASEAN. More than 30,000 visitors are expected to attend this event, generating over 1,000 million baht of capital.
