With a view to future energy-efficient lighting solutions in buildings, at Light & Building 2016, Stand 4.1/K 89 Instrument Systems will be showcasing its LGS 350 goniophotometer to demonstrate applications for the highly accurate and fast testing of medium-sized LED modules according to the EU Eco-Design Directive. The newly optimized design of the LGS 350 system is being presented for the first time. It features an 85 % increased travel speed of the γ-axis to 34 °/s. The permissible top speed of 0.25 m/s pursuant to CIE S 025 is thus possible for a large number of LED sample sizes. Compared to present measurement solutions, for the user this means greatly increased throughput while maintaining a high standard of measurement precision. With an add-on module of the established SpecWin Pro software, a broad range of ErP tests is available for the preparation of test reports according to the EU Directive.
With additional set-ups, Instrument Systems addresses three topics:
1) “Latest international standards” on the basis of the innovative, easy-to-use and cost-efficient burning position correction method with our compact far field goniophotometer LGS 1000, 2) “OLED measurements” with the LumiCam 1300 Advanced and its innovative 6-filter technology, and 3) “IES TM-30-15” as a method of improving the CRI definition for color reproduction. For this purpose, measurements are taken in a 2m integrating sphere and evaluated using the latest features of the SpecWin Pro software according to TM-30-15. Besides the two characteristics fidelity and gamut index, graphical analyses by Hue Bin tables and color vector graphics are also employed.
