Japanese Firm Transforms LED-lit Drones into Breathtaking Fireworks in front of Mount. Fuji

 

Japanese advertisement network MicroAd recently sent 25 LED-lit drones to the sky as lighting performance. Together the drones created breath-taking light display that integrated with the culture’s traditional musical instruments Shamisens rhythms, reported PC mag.

Named Sky Magic, these little drones do realize intriguing performance. As each drone accommodates up to 660 LED lights, the performance was made possible by up to 16,500 lights.

These drones were used as a replacement for fireworks during a press event being held in April, said MicroAd creative Director Tsuyoshi Takashiro.

These drones were controlled by music software such as MIDI. Meanwhile, each of the drone was protected by carbon-fiber cage against falling damage.

Together Sky Magic created breath-taking light display that integrated with the culture’s traditional musical instruments Shamisens rhythms.

MicroAd’s Sky Magic, however, is not 100% weather-resistant as it can stand a mild rain but can loss balanced due to high winds or downpours.

It’s believed that MicroAd intend to break Intel’s Guinness World Record for flying unmanned aerial vehicles at the same time.
