LFI 2017: FSP Powerfully Promoted Smart & Programmable Customized Lighting Products

LIGHTFAIR International (LFI) 2017 began on May 9th. Among the exhibitors, FSP, ranked as 10th power device supplier globally, provides smart & highly efficient, highly reliable, and customizable products & services. FSP would like to attract more manufacturers to collaborate together.

During LFI 2017, FSP showcased two different applications: wireless dimming and smart programming. Regarding to wireless dimming, a user can download an App via a smart device, and then controls the light via wireless communication protocols such as Zigbee, Bluetooth or DALI.

More importantly, with respect to the smart programming feature, a user can use Control Kits to modify power device's firmware parameters, in order to control the electricity current and build protection mechanism. Based on the LED light decay rates, different levels of illumination compensation will be provided, in order to conduct preventive maintenance. These Control Kits are a crucial step on the way to provide smart and highly-efficient products. In this way, LED manufacturers not only need to store fewer inventories, but their products' life spans also extend.

The project manager of FSP product expressed, FSP has always excelled in customized lighting. In particular, FSP focuses on indoor commercial and office lighting that can fulfill different scenarios' requirements.

Meanwhile, as the indoor low-wattage lighting market is getting saturated, FSP has continued cultivating high-wattage lighting market. For instance, FSP's industrial lighting products, such as harbor lighting or plant factory lighting, conform the USA UL international safety certification Class 2 Power Units regulations.

LED lighting products must equip fan-less thermal dissipation technology, and the technology barrier threshold is around 250~300 watts. Technology-wise, this posts quite a challenge to the industry.

Currently, FSP has contacted downstream manufacturers in the USA, and has discussed about grow lights' feasibility of indoor medical plants. Such high-value indoor plants requires fine tuning in terms of growth environment control. Thus, FSP's wireless dimming and smart programming technologies can play greater roles in such lighting sector.

FSP, as a long-term supplier to Hella (an auto lighting giant to the famous automakers Benz & BMW), not only provides customization but also offers high-quality mass-production products. FSP's high reliability is undeniable.

Moreover, the project manager of FSP product showed an example. Currently, transformer's specification isn't unified. Hence, lighting and electronics products tend to be hard to integrate with each other. FSP's smart programming feature enables customers to solve such firmware problems on their own. FSP expects to begin cooperation with more manufacturers.
