Fulham Announces New All-in-one Emergency Driver

Acknowledged as the UK’s leading source of advanced embedded technology, Solid State Supplies Ltd. now offers a new versatile all-in-one emergency LED driver from Fulham Co. Inc. The HotSpot FHSAC1-230-45CE comes with a 5-year warranty and combines an advanced programmable LED driver, emergency system and Lithium battery pack in a single, convenient package.

The LED driver utilises Fulham's innovative SmartSet platform allowing users to configure the driver for almost any conceivable situation. Programming is simple, intuitive and is performed with the TPSB-100EU SmartSet controller. Extended features are available through the feature-rich SmartSet PC software. Auto-program mode allows for rapid, one-touch programming of multiple units.

By combining the LED driver, emergency system and replaceable battery in a single module, installation times and costs are significantly reduced when compared to discrete approaches. The advanced design, component selection, and high quality Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery chemistry enables a 50,000 hour service life for the driver and battery pack.

The programmable LED driver delivers up to 45W with currents from 250mA to 1400mA, programmable in 1mA increments via SmartSet. Common modules are supported by a wide output voltage range of 11-50V while a programmable dimming curve allows for Linear, Log, Step Dim and Dim-to-Off from 100% to 1% (or 0%).

Emergency power can be programmed over the range 1W to 6W; in typical usage 3W can be delivered for 180mins, or 6W for 90mins. The emergency system incorporates fully automatic self-testing for fault detection, monitoring the mains supply, the LED module, system load, and battery condition, periodically testing the battery cell charge and ensuring discharge remains within expected parameters, although tests may be run manually if preferred.

Inbuilt protections include output open circuit, overload, short-circuit, battery deep discharge and over temperature. The units are EN55015 rated for RFI/EMI and operate over a 0°C to 40°C temperature range.

The Fulham emergency driver can be seen at the Lux Live show at London's Excel Centre from 15-16 November 2017 on the Fulham stand (C16). Solid State Supplies are now accepting orders for the system, which will be fulfilled rapidly from stock.
