Seoul Semiconductor Records All-time High Second Quarter Revenue, Up by 25% YoY

ANSAN, South Korea (July 7, 2021) – Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (“Seoul”) (KOSDAQ 046890), a leading global compound semiconductor provider, announced today that it recorded all-time high consolidated revenue of KRW 335 billion in the second quarter, growing by 25% year-on-year.

Overall sound growth continued again in the second quarter across all divisions including IT (Back Light Unit), LT (General Lighting), AM (Automotive). The AM division led the growth, increasing its revenue by nearly 50% year-on-year.

Detailed earnings and third quarter revenue guidance are to be announced through the provisional second quarter earnings disclosure towards the end of this month.

Seoul’s IR team commented the current earnings trend is in line with the company’s upbeat business view since early this year and a record-high growth would likely continue in the third quarter thanks to ongoing sound demand.
