Founded in 1997, Jorjin Technologies has specialized in the ODM field of AR/MR digital wearable products for over 10 years, and holds numerous core key technologies and patents in AR/MR. Leveraging advanced hardware technology, ultra-high resolution 2D/3D imaging, and intuitive natural human-machine interaction UI/UX through voice, gestures, head, and eye-tracking precise controls, Jorjin launched Asia’s first AR/MR smart glasses with eye-tracking functionality, the J7EF Gaze, in 2022. Notably, Jorjin has been invested in by Foxconn Group since 2023, and officially joined the Foxconn industrial chain system, building a comprehensive local AR/MR supply chain in Taiwan together with key partners such as Porotech, GIS, PSMC, Epileds, and Rayprus. Additionally, Jorjin is actively collaborating with eye-tracking technology expert Ganzin to drive technological breakthroughs and innovative applications of eye-tracking functionality in AR glasses. TrendForce is honored to visit Jorjin, and has invited Chairman Liang Wen Long to share recent developments and strategic layouts of Jorjin’s enterprise and consumer AR/MR products.

Leadership from Enterprise End Laid Down Market Foundation
Liang pointed out that the market development of AR glasses must inevitably start from the enterprise sector, before gradually extending to the consumer sector. Therefore, Jorjin is actively investing in the R&D of both software and hardware technologies for enterprise devices. Through the development and manufacturing of enterprise products, Jorjin accumulates expert knowledge, demand scenarios, and valuable practical experience in the field.
In the field of industrial AR glasses products, Jorjin has successfully developed bare-hand interaction technology, allowing users to manipulate virtual objects without wearing any additional devices, thereby blurring the lines between virtual and real environments, as well as providing a more intuitive operating experience. Additionally, Jorjin has built a comprehensive remote collaboration system to offer real-time professional support to on-site personnel facing issues or emergencies. With this system, wearers can transmit what they see to backend experts, who can then provide immediate guidance through text, images, and voice, precisely conveying solutions to the on-site personnel. This significantly enhances overall operational efficiency and speed of problem solving.
At the same time, Jorjin is actively expanding into the medical application field through deep collaboration with US startup Insight Medical Systems to jointly develop a navigation system for artificial joint replacement surgery. This technology combines Jorjin's advantages in AR display technology with Insight Medical Systems' medical expertise, thereby successfully positioning Jorjin as a global leader in AR medical head-mounted devices.

Multi-Module Design Leads the Future amidst Deployment on Consumer End

In the consumer sector, Liang believes that the future price of AR glasses should be set below NTD 20,000 (approximately USD 667) to achieve true market penetration. Liang emphasizes that current mainstream voice-controlled AI is not the optimal solution for AR glasses. True AI applications need to integrate multiple dimensions such as sensory input, spatial awareness, and contextual understanding, to exceed simple data processing.
To achieve this goal, Liang points out that AR glasses must be equipped with eye-tracking and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) functions. These features should be combined to integrate multiple sensory inputs such as vision, hearing, gestures, and eye-tracking. By leveraging a hybrid architecture of edge computing and cloud computing, it will be possible to achieve real-time environmental understanding and natural human-machine interaction experiences, allowing AI to truly enter deep interactive applications in the real world.
Additionally, Liang indicates that future AR glasses must adopt a modular design concept, considering the facial differences of each wearer. The multi-module AR glasses developed by Jorjin not only provide a more personalized wearing experience, but also thoroughly address the repair challenges faced by traditional all-in-one designed AR glasses. This approach makes subsequent product maintenance and upgrades more convenient and cost-effective.

MetaSpaceai Platform Establishes Differentiated Digital Experience
Jorjin's efforts in the AR/MR field go beyond the development and manufacturing of glasses. The company has built its own intellectual property and XR core technologies and patents, and developed the MetaSpaceai platform based on an open API and hybrid cloud-edge architecture. This platform allows ecosystem partners to easily develop and integrate their AI solutions (vertical AI Agents) to quickly meet the needs of field customers. In this digital space, users wearing AR glasses, whether in the same or different physical environments, can use the MetaSpaceai platform to connect people, objects, and digital content in a seamless blend of physical and virtual interactions. This helps companies achieve digital transformation, and offers a differentiated spatial interaction experience that surpasses the simple data processing capabilities of current PCs or mobile phones.
This platform is designed not only for interacting with exhibits and viewing information at exhibitions, but also for use in commercial spaces such as supermarkets and convenience stores, as well as applications in events, cultural and artistic endeavors, industrial, and medical fields. By supporting a diverse range of application platforms, MetaSpaceai will further expand the usage scenarios and depth of experience for AR/MR glasses.

Industry Leading through Full Deployment
While Jorjin continues to focus on the development of both software and hardware products for near-eye displays, the company is also dedicated to building an AI+AR physical use platform. From R&D on core technology, product manufacturing, to application platform development, Jorjin demonstrates a comprehensive capability in the industry chain layout. As AR/MR technology continues to mature, Jorjin, with its profound technical foundation and comprehensive strategic layout, is poised to maintain a significant influence in the promising AI and XR markets, leading the industry towards a more intelligent future.
