In a major milestone for Valeo in India and regional manufacturing excellence, Marc Vrecko, CEO of Valeo Brain Division inaugurated a cutting-edge new HD Surround-View Camera production line on April 3rd, 2026, at the Sanand Facility.

This significant expansion underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to scaling the localized production of advanced vision systems and driving the future of mobility in India.

The newly inaugurated line will focus on the high-volume manufacturing of next-generation vision camera systems for major OEMs in India. These systems are designed to enhance driver assistance, improve road safety, and support the growing demand for autonomous and semi-autonomous driving technologies in the region.

Beyond the cameras, the Sanand facility is set to become a multi-technology hub with the scalable production of advanced automotive displays and telematics control units, further diversifying Valeo’s local footprint to meet the growing demand for digital cockpit and connected vehicle solutions.

While high-volume hardware manufacturing takes place at the Sanand facility, the advanced software and intelligence driving these sensors are developed at Valeo’s R&D hub in Chennai.

Crucially, the facility will spearhead the manufacturing of critical components for both Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and cutting-edge Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS).

India has been identified as a priority in Valeo ‘Elevate 2028’ strategic plan.
