CRS Electronics' Lumenova Receives 2014 Energy Star Certification

CRS Electronics Inc. , a developer and manufacturer of LED lighting products, today announced while the industry grapples with conforming to new and more stringent energy star standards which take effect in September 2014, Lumenova(TM) has already achieved Energy Star certification throughout most of their portfolio. All Par's, BR's and soon MR16's will be certified to the new standards which increase efficacies, on/off criteria, establish dimming standards and start-up time requirements.

"We are very pleased to be ahead of the industry in this regard," said Travis Jones, President & CEO. "It's also a testament to the superior design of our products, and Scott Riesebosch our Chief Technology Officer is the author of our technological success." Jones also cited the good work performed by CRS employees in China. "Our Zhuhai office in China has done a terrific job coordinating with our lab partners there- Leo Lee, our Manager of Vendor Relations in particular."

"Energy Star certification drives many of the utility rebates available. I applaud them for elevating criteria as it further separates low cost and low quality LED providers from thoughtfully designed products from companies like Lumenova(TM). There is room in the marketplace for all types of LED companies, but raising the bar helps customers differentiate between companies. The marketplace is beginning to understand not all LED manufacturers are alike, and new standards for Energy Star certification will further separate the wheat from the chaff," said Travis Jones.
