Radiant Zemax to Showcase Lighting Measurement and Modeling Solutions at Lighting+ Building 2014

Radiant Zemax, a leading provider of light and color test and measurement systems announces it will showcase its portfolio of testing solutions for LEDs, lighting, and luminaires in Booth #F77, Hall 9, at Light + Building. The exhibition is the world’s biggest trade fair for lighting and building services technology, taking place March 30 – April 4, 2014 in the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Center in Frankfurt, Germany.

Radiant Zemax develops integrated hardware and software solutions for both R&D and production line testing of intensity, illuminance, luminance, and chromaticity of various lighting sources. In R&D environments, compact goniometer systems combine imaging technology and feature-rich software to deliver fast, cost-effective, and comprehensive data, enabling lighting engineers to optimize their product designs and easily generate standard output files, including IES, Eulumdat, or Radiant Source Model formats. On the production line, high-speed Radiant Zemax test systems ensure product quality and consistency, with configurable solutions built for high volume throughput.

At Light + Building, Radiant Zemax will demonstrate the PM-NFMS (Near-Field Measurement System), designed for developers of large light sources for automotive, transportation, and architectural applications. This two-axis goniometer system provides near-field luminance distribution data and occupies a much smaller space than traditional testing methods. Explains Doug Kreysar, Chief Solutions Officer at Radiant Zemax, “this allows the engineer to see what the luminaire would look like from different angles and allows more accurate simulations of the light distribution from the luminaire. It is also cost-effective and simple to use.” In addition to the PM-NFMS, Radiant Zemax will display the PM-10 Photometer and its new ProMetric I2 Imaging Colorimeter – both ideal for high speed production applications; the IS-LI-TE Imaging Sphere for measurement of illumination patterns; and the latest release of the renowned Zemax optical design software, OpticStudio14.

Radiant Zemax will also be represented in booth A13, hall 4, by its exclusive distributor for Germany, SphereOptics GmbH. Radiant Zemax offers worldwide sales and support through its direct offices and an extensive distribution network.
