LED Expo Receives Strong Support from Government of Maharashtra

Lighting up a revolution against the phase-out of in-efficient lighting and promotion of energy-efficient LED alternatives in India, LED Expo – the nation’s foremost exhibition on LED lighting products and technologies will open doors this week at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. 

With plans to cover the entire city with LED lights over the next few months, LED Expo makes a timely arrival bringing high-quality and competitively priced solutions for the Indian market and has received strong support from the Government of Maharashtra.  

Chief Minister Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadvanis said: “I am happy to know that Messe Frankfurt is organizing International LED Summit & Exhibition and is the first and only event in the private sector which has been strongly running for six years and making coordinated efforts in India since 2009.  I wish all the success to the exhibition and hope that this event will help visitors, exhibitors and public at large.”

The show is also supported by Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule, Minister for Energy & New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of Maharashtra who will be Inaugurating the LED Summit on 8th May at Bombay Exhibition Centre. The organizers have also announced an awareness drive in Mumbai to promote adoption of energy-efficient LED lights. Starting today, the city-wide initiative aims to encourage individuals and organizations to replace high energy-consuming CFLs and other lighting sources and take a pledge to ‘Switch to LED Lights’ to attain a twofold objective of reducing their electricity costs and the city’s carbon footprint. ELCOMA - Electric lamps and components manufacturers in India, ELCINA Electronic Industries Association of India and Solar Energy Society of India have also extended support to the exhibition.    

Over 100 leading companies from China, Germany, India, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and the UAE eyeing opportunity in India’s multi-billion dollar market are showcasing their competitive LED lighting solutions at the exhibition. Focused solely on LED products and technologies, the exhibition’s main objective is to create awareness about the innumerable benefits of LEDs, promote energy-efficient lights and drive market adoption in high-power consumption sectors. 

The exhibition will open doors to trade, private and government sector professionals on 7th May.
