The new module will make its debut at the upcoming Shanghai International Auto Lamp Exhibition (ALE) on March 30-31. Lextar will also announce a series of LED package, light bar and light engines for automobile to demonstrate its vertical integration power by offering one-stop service.

The brand-new LED PES headlamp module is a fisheye headlight combining high and low beams using Lextar’s in-house designed optical lens with light pattern complying with the ECE R112 asymmetric headlight specifications and China’s GB25991 LED headlight standard.

Equipped with Lextar’s flip-chip LED which supports high-current driving to omit wire bonding and enhance product reliability, this PES headlight module delivers maximum luminance up to 70,000cd that is brighter than traditional 35W xenon lights. In addition to being energy efficient and bright, this product enhances stylishness and gives more space and flexibility for headlight designs.

Lextar will also launch a series of packaging products, bars and light engines for automotive LEDs. The applications include automotive headlights, taillights, and interior lights; motorcycle headlights and taillights; train headlights, and bus side marker lamps. In addition to customization service to meet different customer needs, Lexar provides headlight module collaborative design service for customers to design different styles of light bars for various models of cars.

All LED packaging components have passed the AEC Q101 and IEC 60810 certification, deliver a life longer than 30,000 hours, and use anti-vulcanization materials to provide customers with assurance for higher quality and higher reliability.

Lextar will also demonstrate its concept laser headlamp products at the new technology zone. The laser headlamp module adopts Lextar’s self developed phosphor sheets and optical lenses to demonstrate the company’s technical capacity and ambitions in auto applications.

According to Dr. Louis Lu, VP of Lextar’s Automobile Product Business Group, “After planning for two years or so, Lextar’s R&D team set ALE as the first platform to showcase all Lextar automotive LED lighting products to demonstrate our technical capacity in this area."

"More importantly, Lextar has an integrated R&D team combining optical, mechanical, electrical and thermodynamic expertise to support product customization service, provide real-time technical solutions, and accelerate product development for customers.”
