Osram to Showcase New Automotive Lighting at the 2018 Essen Motor Show

Osram has announced that it will present its state-of-the-art LED automotive lighting at the 2018 Essen Motor Show which will be held from December 1st to 9th.

The company has launched new Osram LEDriving products for the replacement of halogen and xenon light. LEDriving work lights and additional headlights are new additions to the Osram portfolio. The new headlamps with novel LED technology offer greater output than the original headlamps. In addition, the LED retrofit headlamp can deliver low-beam, high-beam, daytime running lights, position lights and turn indicators.

The LED headlamp for the VW Golf VII is the first available Osram headlamp product which was recently named the winner of the Automechanika Innovation Award 2018. During the Essen Motor Show, Osram said it will present the new LED turn indicator for the side mirrors of the VW Golf VII in combination with the full LED headlamp on the VW Golf VII show car. The company is also demonstrating a xenon and LED upgrade for Ford Focus III headlamps, various design studies for other models such as the Ford Amarok and the BMW 1 Series, as well as the first rear light clusters for the VW Polo, VW Golf VI, BMW 1 Series and Ford Fiesta.
