Varroc Lighting Acquires Turkish Automotive Firm

Varroc Lighting, a U.S. based exterior vehicle lighting supplier, announced its acquisition of a Turkish company, Sa-Ba Automotive. The acquisition will enable Varro Lighting to gain production capacity and to expand into Turkey and Europe.

By taking over the 10,000-square-meter manufacturing technology center near Istanbul and the 20,000-square-meter plant in Bulgaria, as well as having one new plant under construction, the lighting company will increase its manufacturing force and penetration for European markets.

“Turkey is a growing market, and our presence there helps us expand the services we can provide to our growing customer base, while substantially increasing our capabilities in small lighting,” said Stephane Vedie, president and CEO of Varroc Lighting Systems.

The acquisition of Sa-Ba Automotive is the sixth business initiative of Varroc Lighting in the past 16 months. The decision reflects the company’s commitment to expand its global footprint. Besides Turkey, Varroc Lighting also opened locations in Brazil, Japan, and Poland recently and is preparing to set a new manufacturing and product development base in Morocco.
