High Power Lighting has recently added to its Energy Star compliant lighting-class M28 Shock type LED family with a range of its “Ready to Assemble” DC and HV LED module in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4100K, 5000K and 5500K CCT that targeting indoor lighting applications, especially for LED retrofit bulb, downlight, pendant light and ceiling light. The easy to assemble module is offering an option of 2W~30W selection with different dimension.
With the outstanding characteristics of the M28 type LED, the module design yields a thin consistent binning distribution within a 4-step MacAdam ellipse area, a typical efficacy of 90lm/W up to 100lm/W and a typical CRI(Ra) ~90. The reduced binning space will free many luminaries manufacturers from binning process that creates a consistency in the application CCT performance. The other advantages of the M28 type LED module are its wide view angle 160°, which is important for retrofit bulb and downlight application, and the narrowed Vf bin, which gives a consistent and stable power rating for the LED application.
In order to simplify design and minimize cost for LED luminaire manufacturing, HPL has also delivered high voltage (HV LED) application solution for the M28 type LED module that minimizes driver requirements making it an ideal solution for space constrained and cost sensitive retrofit bulbs and luminaires.
As well as HPL own designed standard module, HPL is also welcoming customized M28 type module design inquiries, in order to fulfill customer’s application and design requirement, by adjusting the total power consumption, forward current and voltage.
HPL is proud to add the M28 type LED module solution to improve LED application performance and to enable luminaire manufacturers to reduce design, development and production cost (best C/P ratio) in new LED luminaire products in the coming years
