Ares ciMes to assist LED company EOI in raising production efficiency

Ares International Corp. recently signed a contract with Excellence Optoelectronics Inc., a professional Taiwan-based LED packaging company, to introduce the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Execution System (ciMes) developed by Ares. EOI expects to see the system go live be year-end, which will dramatically improve the production efficiency and competitiveness of EOI while meeting its future expansion and integration requirements in product line and business.

EOI is outstanding in supply chain integration, producing power-saving and forward-looking products. Amid an ever-expanding phase for capacity and efficiency, EOI needs a flexible and powerful MES to help EOI control orders, effectively monitor the application status of its factory resources, avoid manual errors, control immediate production information while offering automatic and flexible reports for transparent information, appropriate and effective production management while improving capacity and yields.

With Ares ciMes able to provide all of the above-mentioned functions and benefits, EOI has decided to work with Ares to adopt ciMes. EOI will use ciMes to optimize its capacity utilization and improve competitiveness, fulfilling a complete resume record and tracking as well as controlling quality, material, equipment and integration. With real-time monitor, report and alert, ciMes can help EOI to achieve a highly-efficient production factory that is flexible, accurate and transparent in information. Most importantly, the open structure of ciMes can help EOI to easily achieve information-sharing among its Taiwan and China operations, thereby having a real-time factory control.

Excellence Optoelectronics Inc. (EOI) is located in Hsinchu, Taiwan and has won awards and patents for LED and laser with certifications including ISO9001, QS9000 and TS16949.

EOI is a professional LED lamp manufacturer, producing top-quality super high-brightness LED lamps with AlInGaP and InGaN chip materials. With strong capabilities in optical, mechanical, electrical designs and precision measurement, EOI supplies high-efficiency LED components and modules from its production sites in Taiwan, China and the US for global clients.

To lead the measurement technology and quality assurance capability, EOI has set up an optical calibration and measurement laboratory and is the only Taiwan-based LED company with a Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) laboratory.

Introduction of ciMes

ciMes allows remote management of production line operation, on-line multi-language interchange, access to database via Internet for shared production parameter, equipment utilization and status, staff performance, order progress and real-time capacity. The nine modules of ciMes is centered on WIP (Work in Process), while connecting various operations. ciMes is flexible in its logic structure, allowing it to be easily integrated with ERP, HR, BPM and automation systems. Ares ciMes consultants are equipped with rich industry knowledge and can assist the enterprise to inspect its real needs in various aspects of production when evaluating manufacturing system. ciMes now features implementation templates of various industries such as semiconductor, optoelectronics, electronic assembly, machinery, etc.
