Apira Science, maker of the iGrow, the first and only hands-free, in-home hair growth device cleared by the FDA for both men and women, today launched its Indiegogo campaign at CES to crowdfund the iDerma Facial Beautification System. The iDerma crowdfunding campaign will encourage collaboration between early adopters and Apira Science, which will collect feedback on the prototype’s design to improve the user experience and ensure best-in-class results when iDerma reaches the broader market. The campaign will continue until Feb. 9, 2015. Apira is currently showcasing the iDerma at CES in Las Vegas through January 9 at booth #75708.
The iDerma achieves all of the benefits of a high-priced photofacial at home for a fraction of the cost of clinic-based therapy systems. The system uses red and infrared LED light therapy to reverse and improve the visible signs of aging by stimulating deep cellular regeneration and can also help heal redness and inflammation associated with acne blemishes, leaving the skin refreshed, toned, and clear.

The iDerma’s patented full-face visor combines more than 140 red and infrared LEDs with both narrow-angle and wide-angle lenses to cover the entire facial surface and provide consistently therapeutic light-therapy sessions. The result is more supple and radiant skin and the diminished appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and facial rhytids. The iDerma Facial Beautification System is fully adjustable to accommodate a wide range of face sizes and improve user comfort.
“What we were able to do for hair loss with the iGrow, we’re now doing for the skin with iDerma,” said Jeff Braile, president of the Medical Products Division at Apira Science. “Indiegogo offers us a platform to speak directly to consumers about their experience using iDerma, providing us invaluable insights that can help refine the system and improve results. Through this campaign, we’ll be able to ensure iDerma is a more convenient, cost-effective solution for achieving younger and healthier skin.”
