Peterson Launches Submersible LED Trailer Light Kit

Peterson Manufacturing’s new 844 Series Submersible Trailer Lights offer an exciting advance that combines superior function and durability with exclusive LumenX® LED lens optics technology and low-profile good looks—all in a convenient kit that boat, utility and small cargo trailer owners will love.

All U.S.-made, the new 844 Series is a combination LED Stop/Turn/Tail/Clearance/Sidemarker light that exceeds DOT rear lighting and reflex requirements for all trailers under and over 80" wide.

The kits (model V944) include the 844 and 844L (license light) LED lights plus 25' trailer harness, license bracket, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. In addition to the full kits, individual V844 and V844L replacement lights are also available in Peterson’s distinctive Viz Packs. The M844 and M844L replacement lights are available in manufacturer packs, as well as replacement lenses.

A special design feature of the 844 Series lights is that front and side lenses are replaceable—a cost-saving advantage not offered by most submersible LED trailer lights. Peterson engineered a unique inner lens that maintains the sealed protection of internal components should an outer lens be damaged. This allows owners to safely replace just the outer lens instead of the entire light.

Manufacturing this advanced submersible light demanded cutting-edge technology and materials. Peterson’s high-performance LEDs paired with LumenX® precision lens optics produce a uniform, evenly lit appearance for outstanding visibility. Hermetically sealed inner lens and insert-molded electrical terminals protect circuitry in corrosion-safe, water-tight security. The result is a trailer lighting solution that ensures rugged reliability anywhere—from dry land to wet boat ramp.

Said Peterson project engineer, John Hansen, “Our 844 Series is the next step forward in trailer lighting: Advanced engineering and forward thinking combine to produce this next-gen LED trailer light—and made here in the U.S.!”
