Harvard Technology to Unveil Next Generation CoolLED Pro Driver Range at Lux Live 2017

Harvard Technology will be unveiling the next generation of CoolLED driver range on at LUX Live 2017.

Building on the best-selling CoolLED range, which has achieved 9 million units sold worldwide, the new CoolLED Pro drivers utilise the latest advancements in driver technology to deliver better performance, greater flexibility and improved functionality.

The new programmable LED drivers are initially available in three variants – 15W, 25W and 40W – delivering programmable constant current output, along with DALI dimming to as low as 0.1% of the maximum current. In addition, all the new drivers on this platform support push-dim and corridor function and operate across a wide voltage range 2v-48v.

The new CoolLED Pro range, part of Harvard’s growing programmable driver range, provides complete freedom to control the output power of an LED driver in any configuration, with drive current programming in 1mA step increments and smooth dimming down to 1% as standard, with options down to 0.1% and dim to off.

The new CoolLED Pro drivers can be pre-programmed in the factory or at the customer location via a programming software interface, to meet any current output configuration, offering greater flexibility for customers.

An optimised driver design ensures the best light quality for the most demanding applications. CoolLED Pro drivers have ultra-low flicker performance of less than 1% at 100Hz/120Hz across the entire range, mitigating the risks of invisible random flicker in a multitude of applications including offices, retail stores and professional video production.

Utilising an advanced primary control integrated circuit, and the latest premium specification components, allows the CoolLED Pro drivers to deliver superb performance within a new ultra-slim, low profile form factor.

“Our continual drive to produce the most technologically advanced equipment on the market has led us to develop our new CoolLED Pro drivers, which offer feature rich, completely customisable LED drivers at a competitive price point with a quick service turnaround. The new CoolLED Pro range complements our existing 10W-200W driver portfolio, which have become world renowned for their high-performance and unparalleled levels of performance," Tim McKernan, head Of OEM sales said.
