The range has been designed to offer the technological benefits of LED and the elegance of classical incandescent lamps.
"Like before, but better". This is the motto LEDVANCE has chosen to present the broadest-ever LED lamp range under the Osram brand for the 2016/2017 lighting season. It symbolises the perfect combination of modern LED technology and classical lamp design.

The PARATHOM PRO, PARATHOM ADVANCED and PARATHOM product segments can be used to create LED-based lighting solutions that are tailored to individual requirements – from minimal to extravagant, from functional to elegant. Whatever the segment, LEDVANCE always fulfills the highest possible demands. The PARATHOM PRO models, for example, provide premium light quality for professional applications – with an excellent colour rendering index (CRI/RA) of more than 90 and a rated lifespan of up to 40,000 hours. With its wide selection of special lamps (e.g. G9, G4 or R7s), the PARATHOM segment also contains the optimum LED models for specific applications, or even replacements for HQL lamps.
LEDVANCEpays particular attention to the design of its lamps: The LED spot portfolio and many other lamp shapes from LEDVANCEare now available with casings and bulbs of real glass. With the same size and appearance as traditional halogen or incandescent lamps, they boast all the additional advantages of innovative LED technology, and are manufactured for the most part in Germany.
New technology in a classic design
The full-glass PAR16 and MR16 LED models have the same dimensions as halogen lamps, and most are optionally dimmable. Their innovative single optic – with just one single light point – also makes for improved light distribution. In many cases, these LED models can simply replace those halogen lamps that are no longer permitted to be marketed in the EU since the beginning of September 2016 – an extra benefit for users. And, thanks to their glass casings, these LED halogen lamps look deceptively similar to their traditional halogen predecessors. This makes the stylish glass spots ideal for use in open luminaires, particularly in hospitality applications Halogen reflector lamps with R50, R63 and R80 type designations, often used for accent lighting, can now also be simply replaced with LED filament lamps featuring glass bulbs.
LEDVANCEis setting new optical and technical standards for LED incandescent lamps as well, with the PARATHOM LED retrofit range for example. Here too, a switch to glass has been made for the production of many LED retrofit lamps with screw bases, so replicating the elegant look and feel of classical incandescent bulbs. A further 42 models of the successful LED filament lamps are now available – including both dimmable (replacing up to 60 watts) and non-dimmable versions. These models also boast a higher luminous flux. With its new Globe and Edison bulb shapes, the historically-inspired Edition 1906 now features gold-tinted LED filament products in real glass with a vintage look.
As a further innovation in its LED range, LEDVANCE is now offering LED filament lamps with a glow-dim effect. In lamps of this kind, the simple process of dimming modifies the colour temperature of the light as well as the brightness. Undimmed, the lamp produces a warm white light (2,900 Kelvin). When dimmed, however, the lamp creates a cozy atmosphere bathed in extra-warm white (1,900 Kelvin) – similar to a traditional incandescent lamp.
From full-glass to glow-dim, the new LED range from LEDVANCE offers customers the best of both worlds: the technological benefits of LEDs and the elegance of classical incandescent lamps. In other words, lighting experiences that are familiar, but better.
