Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, in conjunction with AV integrator Auviso, has manufactured and delivered a high-resolution dvLED display for “Railway Experience Switzerland,” a new rail hall in Luzern, Switzerland. The project features a smaller version of the iconic SBB clock as a visual highlight in the exhibition. The hall was opened to visitors to experience for the first time in late 2025. Since then, thousands of guests have experienced the exhibition.
“The exhibition allows visitors to design their own railway visions, immerse themselves in virtual professional worlds or marvel at the renewed Gotthard railway model,” said Markus Bucher, team lead for LED solutions at Auviso. “We are pleased to be part of this forward-looking project.”
dvLED Display Details
The new LED SBB clock replica features a 1.8-millimeter pixel spacing for crisp, clear, high-resolution imagery visible within one meter of the display. It features a 2.14-meter radius to share the information desired by the new rail hall exhibition.
“We are excited to see that there is now a creative solution being a small version of the SBB Clock in front of their headquarters,” said Rolf Bauer, Daktronics regional sales manager. “By the creativity of our design and Auviso’s talent, we were able to realize this very custom display format.”
Daktronics offers a line of narrow pixel pitch LED displays ranging from 2.5 millimeters down to 0.7-millimeter pixel spacings. This product line brings expansive opportunities to those spaces commonly associated with LCD technology to create luxurious and immersive environments, share artistic digital content or show detailed, high-quality video.
